Terms, Shipping + Returns, & Jewelry Care Tips

SHIPPING

  • Although most items will be packaged & shipped the next business day, TTR has up to 10 business days to process & package orders unless otherwise stated. Please see announcement bar on home page for any notifications about being out of town or unable to ship packages right away.
  • We are not responsible for packages once they have been dropped off to ship. If there is a delay in shipping once we have dropped off the package, it is the buyers responsibility to contact the post office for further assistance.
  • We are not responsible for packages if the customer puts the wrong address.
  • If your address needs updated, please email theturquoisereata@gmail.com immediately after placing your order with your full, correct mailing address & make sure you receive a conformation email back saying your address has been updated.

RETURNS

  • STORE CREDIT ONLY FOR ELIGIBLE RETURNS
  • All sale items are final sale.
  • All clothing items are final sale & not eligible for returns. You may swap for different sizing if the sizing is available. If your size is not available, TTR is unable to process store credit, refund, or return.
  • Item must be returned in the same condition it was sent. This means no new signs of wear or damage.
  • Eligible returns must be received within 7 days of the original purchase date.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable. Customer is responsible for purchasing return shipping label unless otherwise discussed with TTR. To begin issuing a return, please email theturquoisereata@gmail.com
  • If your order is broken upon arrival, you must contact TTR within 24 hours of receiving item so I can file a claim with shipping carrier.
  • If your order is incorrect, or missing item(s), please contact TTR right away within 24 hours of receiving your order so that I can correct it right away!
  • TTR is NOT responsible for broken or damaged items after you have worn them. Please take care of your jewelry like you would fine diamonds. There are professionals who repair Native American items, I can help you get in contact with them to fix your piece. 
  • If you have an issue with a clasp or closure, I am happy to show you have to fix it yourself or am happy to repair your clasp for a fee. Email theturquoisereata@gmail.com for all inquiries.
  • It is at the discretion of TTR to deny a return if the merchandise is damaged.

TERMS FOR LUJAN SILVER CO.

  • Lujan Silver stands behind all handmade jewelry by Jake or Courtney Lujan. If your piece is damaged within 30 days of normal wear, we will repair or issue store credit. Repair or store credit is up to the discretion of the makers of Lujan Silver & only covered by normal wear. If it is suspected you have ignored the guidelines listed under how to properly care for your jewelry, your piece may not qualify for free repair. Please make sure you follow your jewelry care guidelines.

JEWELRY CARE TIPS

  • I hope you love your new treasures! To take care of your new gems, it is important to understand how to properly care for turquoise/other gemstones & how to store it safely. Without the proper care, your stones can become discolored & even potentially damaged. To prevent any harm to your new jewelry, please read the helpful hints below so you can protect & preserve your handmade treasures.
  • Turquoise measures 5 to 6 on the Mohs hardness scale. It is relatively fragile, porous, & susceptible to heat and chemical damage. Due to this stone’s properties, you should protect it from heat, chemicals, & shocks.
  • Avoid getting your jewelry wet, exposing to perfumes, dish soap, hot water, soap, lotion, sunscreen, coffee, tea, soaking in water, oils, or any oil-based substance.
  • Clean your jewelry with a clean soft cotton cloth, free of cleaning agents. It is safe to clean sterling & copper using an anti-tarnish polishing cloth, avoiding contact with the stone. Many collectors will want to keep the natural patina & polishing can devalue a piece,but that’s up to you!

  • Keep your jewelry in its proper storage after every use. You can wrap it carefully with a tissue paper or a 100% cotton cloth & place it in your jewelry box or in a zip-lock plastic bag. By doing so, you can prevent tarnishing (eliminating exposure to air) & the possibility of hard materials or other jewelry scratching your handmade treasures.
